Firefly Music Festival
Firefly Music Festival is a one-of-a-kind outdoor event that brings together music lovers from all around the world. Held annually in the scenic woodlands of Dover, Delaware, the festival offers a unique experience that blends nature, music, and community. To capture the essence of Firefly, a brand identity was created that showcases the festival's commitment to nature, community, and music.
The brand identity for Firefly Music Festival was designed to reflect the natural beauty of the woodlands where the festival takes place. I used smooth curved lines throughout the design, creating a natural look that reflects the festival's environmental impact. The color palette was carefully chosen to represent the feeling of a sunny day in the woods, with darker, moodier colors that evoke the feeling of being surrounded by trees, while lighter colors represent the streams of sunlight shining through the foliage.
The brand identity was incorporated into various marketing materials, including a magazine ad, two tickets, a festival grounds map, an app for attendees, and merchandise. Each of these materials showcased a unique design style, with smooth curved lines and natural colors used throughout. The result is a cohesive and memorable brand that reflects the festival's values and personality.
Overall, the brand identity of Firefly Music Festival is a perfect representation of the festival's commitment to nature, community, and music. The natural design style, color palette, and use of smooth curved lines all contribute to a sense of harmony and balance that is essential to the festival's overall vibe. Whether you're attending the festival or just admiring the brand identity from afar, it's clear that Firefly Music Festival is a truly unique and special event.
Firefly Festival App Prototype
I knew from the start of this project that I wanted to make an app for festival goers. I thought about what I would want and use in an app during the festival. I thought some essential things as an attendee would be a festival grounds map, an editable calendar, a digital ticket, and of course the schedule. Who wants to search through their fanny pack to find their paper ticket or map? Also, an editable schedule gives the user the chance to pick want events they most want to attend. Some other things I included are essential festival information such as hours, rules, etc. The app includes directions to the festival, lost and found information, merchandise, experiences, and food available.
