Foxton Restaurant

Introducing Foxton Restaurant, the newest trendy place to grab a bite in town. With its modern, friendly, and inviting ambiance, Foxton offers a unique farm-to-table dining experience that promises to tantalize your taste buds. At Foxton, they pride themselves on using locally grown produce and locally sourced meats in all the dishes they provide. This means that their menus change based on what is in season, providing a new dining experience for customers as there is always something different to try.

But Foxton Restaurant is not just any ordinary eatery. It is an environmentally conscious restaurant that considers the impact it has on the world around it. They are committed to using sustainable practices in their daily operations, which is why they use paper bags and recyclable to-go containers. This shows that they are environmentally friendly and committed to reducing their carbon footprint.

The illustrations on the menus were made using the linocut technique, which adds to the rustic charm of the restaurant. It represents the idea of getting all produce straight from the farm, giving customers a sense of authenticity and a connection to the land. The branding colors of navy blue and gold were carefully chosen to represent the changing of the season, but also stay relevant and modern. The gold color represents fall/winter, and the navy represents spring/summer, creating a seamless blend between the two.

At Foxton Restaurant, you can expect to experience the freshest and most flavorful ingredients, skillfully prepared by their talented chefs. The menu is carefully crafted to showcase the best of what each season has to offer, from hearty stews in the winter to light and refreshing salads in the summer.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a dining experience that is both delicious and environmentally conscious, Foxton Restaurant is the perfect place to go. With its commitment to using locally sourced ingredients, sustainable practices, and rustic charm, you are guaranteed to leave satisfied and with a newfound appreciation for the farm-to-table movement.

The birth of Foxton Restaurant was not just a fun project, but a journey of creative exploration and artistic expression. It all started with a few simple black-and-white vector icons that sparked a burst of inspiration, and before long, Foxton was born.

The original icons didn't fit the theme and branding of the project, so I decided to start from scratch and create a complete brand identity using the linocut technique. This was a new experience for me, and I was excited to explore this artistic medium further.

The linocut technique involves carving an image into a linoleum block, inking the block, and then stamping the image onto paper or fabric. The result is a unique and textured image that captures the beauty and essence of the subject matter.

For Foxton Restaurant, I created a series of linocut prints of fruits and vegetables, which were then stamped onto paper and vectorized using Adobe Illustrator. The result was a collection of stunning illustrations that captured the freshness and vibrancy of the locally sourced produce used at the restaurant.

These illustrations were then used to create a pattern in the different branding colors, which was used throughout the entire brand identity system. I also linocut and vectorized the logo and logotype, keeping a consistent tone throughout the project.

This creative process was a journey of discovery and experimentation for me, and I enjoyed exploring different art and design techniques to create a unique and distinctive brand identity for Foxton Restaurant.

The birth of Foxton Restaurant was not just about creating a trendy place to grab a bite, but a journey of artistic expression and creative exploration. The linocut technique added texture and depth to the illustrations, capturing the essence of the locally sourced produce and the restaurant's commitment to sustainability. It was a fun and rewarding project that showcases my creativity and passion for design.
